Louis David Helms, Sr., 71, of Mt. Herman, passed away November 27, 2011 at his home. He was born October 4, 1940 in Broken Bow, the son of Fred D. Sr., and Nora Box Helms. Louis had lived in Broken Bow all of his life and was a member of the Broken Bow Church of God. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on vehicles and spending time with his family at the cabin. He retired from Huffman Post Yard after working there for 13 1/2 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Brown and Mildred Miller; he leaves to cherish his memory his wife Patsy of the home; children, Patsy Harlow, Louis Helms, Jr., Kenneth Helms, Donald Lee Helms, Harvey & Marie Freeman, Brian & Tammy Crooks, Ray & Pamela McGill, PErry & Brandy Helms, Ronnie Helms, Ellen Helms, Donald & Jessica Imoe, Brantley & Mary Barrick, Christopher Rawls, Brandie Jo Rawls, Jessie Helms & Tabitha Helms and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews & friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov 29 from 5 to 7 pm at Bunch-Singleton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 2pm at Bethel Cemetery with Pastor David Harden officiating.
