Served in World War II and was in the Merchant Marines. Enlisted 24 Aug 1945 in Newark, NM.

ALGONAC - William H. Jacks, 53, of 2144 Lee St., died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1980, in the River District Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1922 in Cleveland, and lived in Algonac 20 years. He married Irene Tessens in September 1961, in Algonac.
Mr. Jacks was member of the Algonac Optimist Club.
He is survived by his wife; four daughter: Virginia, Margaret, Dorothy and Irene; and three sons, William L. and Raymond Jacks, and John Brooks, all of Algnac; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Collingwood of Greenfield, Ind., and two grandchildren.
Remainds were donated to the University of Michigan.
