Charles Thurman Luman died 10 Sep 1949 of coronary occlusion at his residence 1016 Tully St., Memphis, Shelby Co. He had lived there for 13 years. He was married. Born 7 Jan 1912 in Langley, Ark. He was a machinist at Jones & Orth Cutter Head Co. His father was Charles Luman; his mother Leo Lee Luman. Mrs. Lorean Luman was the informant. Buried National Cemetery, Sept 13th.
Charles and Mildred are both buried, Memphis National Cemetery, Memphis, Shelby Co, TN. He was a Corporal in the Army Air Corps, World War II.

Services Tuesday for Veteran of World War II
Services for Charles Thurman Luman will be held at 2 Tuesday afternoon at Cosmopolitan Funeral Home. The Rev. Jack Tichenor will officate and burial will be National Cemetery.
Mr. Luman died at 9:15 yesterday morning at his home at 1016 Tulley. He was 38.
His wife, Mrs. Lorean Luman, said his feet were frostbitten while he was with the Eighth Air Force in England during World War II and he developed Buerger's disease about 18 months ago. His right leg was amputated at Kennedy Veterans Hospital in August of last year.
Born in Langley, Ark., he came to Memphis 13 years ago. He was a machinist before his illness. He was a member of the American Legion.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Mildred Sue Rose of Memphis; tow sons, Charles Luman and David Luman of Memphis, and two sisters, Miss Gladys Luman of Kansas City, MO., and Miss Oma Luman of Caddo Gap, Ark.
