Bond dated 17 Jul 1793. John N. Haden and Susanna W. Payne, dau of Agatha Payne. Surety, Jesse Haden. Wit: Sally Payne. Married on 24 July.
This must be when John moved from Fluvanna to Goochland. Seems to be in the neighborhood on Little Byrd Creek where the Hadens first lived in Goochland.

Begin at Gideon Bowles corner; Dancel Fords line; Carters Ferry road; three chopt road, Thomas Massie's line. Salley Payne, widow of Jesse Payne dec'd.

Haden, Thomas Farmer, Robert Singleton & William Turner - lying on NE side of three chop'd road adjoining the plantation where she now resides.

1 Jul 1811. Benjamin Darst & Sally his wife, formerly Sally Payne to John N. Haden. By deed dated 12 Dec 1794 between James Roberts and Mary his wife and the said Sally Darst (then Sally Payne) conveyed to the sd John N. Haden a tract of land in Goochland on branches of Little Byrd Creek at the forl of three choped road and Carters ferry road, 56 acres. Deed is recorded in Goochland as far as the said James Roberts & wife but not fully proved as related to the said Sally before her intermarriage with the said Benjamin Darst. This deed made in order to secure the said Haden to the above land. Signed: Benj. Darst, Sally S. Darst. Wit: Val. M. Mason, John Mackey, John Darst.
