The estate settlement of William Britt, names an heir as William, but he was living at the time, William, the elder, died, 1822. The William Britt who married Martha "Patsy" Mullins in Goochland must have been about the same age - but was dead in Goochland by about 1813. This marriage between Britt-Mullins has been attributed to various William. Martha's husband was also referred to as William Jr but probably because he was the younger William at the time, not the son of a William.
