He was born June 29, 1934, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to J. Frank Prince and Ollie Thomas Prince.
Ollie owned and operated Prince Automotive in Bentonville for 40 years, where he willingly worked through August 30, 2002, often as many as 16 hours a day. He served proudly as a volunteer fireman, was a dedicated city councilman and served faithfully on the Bates Hospital Board for many years.
Ollie was an example of steadfastness who was an Prince ever-abiding husband, father, grandfather and friend. He always made time to listen and share words of wisdom when asked. He was a servant and tried to meet every need requested of him, without complaining and without being boastful. Ollie saw the good in everyone and respected his family, friends, co-workers and customers. He made a marked impression on the lives of his grandchildren, and won their love and admiration simply by being himself.
Ollie was a lifetime resident of northwest Arkansas, and has been referred to as part of the foundation of Bentonville and a "cornerstone of the community." His last celebration on Earth was shared with his devoted wife, whom he loved and respected greatly, at the time of their Golden Wedding Anniversary on August 3, 2002. Tribute and honor were paid to them with the concurrent wedding of his granddaughter on August 12. Surely the Lord greeted him with, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
