Death of Wm. Winkler
William Winkler was born in Macon County, Mo., March 17, 1850 and passed away from this life Feb.17 (sic - it was the 10th), 1916 at 9:00 o'clock.
Mr. Winkler was taking breakfast with his family when the death stroke came and left them without another word.
He professed religion in the Baptist Church of Macon when he was 35 years of age and has lived an upright Christian life ever since. He leaves to mourn their loss a wife and five children, two of his children have passed before him to the grave many years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at Mt. Salem church near Excello. Time for funeral services will be announced later.
