Services Held Thursday for Chelsea Lady
Funeral services for Mrs. Burnell Wood, wife of P. D. Wood, Chelsea merchant, were held there Thursday afternoon from Memorial Methodist Church, with Rev. Grover Scales of Miami, in charge, assisted by the pastor, Rev. James W. Paul. Burial was made in Chelsea cemetery.
Mrs. Wood died at her home Tuesday following several months of illness. She was a member of a pioneer Delaware County family. The family moved to Chelsea from Tulsa 16 years ago.
Surviving besides the husband are one daughter, Miss Betty Jean Wood, of the home, and one sister, Mrs. Tom Nichols, of Southwest city, MO.
