Individual Details
Henry Alonzo Comstock
(29 Apr 1832 - 11 Aug 1892)
Served in the Civil War. His father was not a Comstock - he carries his mother's surname.
A family letter in the hands of another Comstock researcher asserts that his father was Nehemiah Huntley, who was married to Amanda's sister. Y-DNA testing in 2012 does indeed show that a descendant of Henry Alonzo has matching Y-DNA to several men carrying the Huntley surname and he does not match other Comstocks.
