There is a great deal of confusion about the wives of the Rice males. Somewhere in the family, there was possibly a Marcy, as well as a Mary. Both this John and his son Thomas are seen as married to Higgeson ladies - however, I don't believe that Thomas's marriage record has ever been located. Neither do I have a source for the marriage date of John.
