William H. Mitchell Dies
Chicago, March 9 - William Hamilton Mitchell, vice president of the Illinois Trust and Savings Bank, and father of John J. Mitchell, president of the same bank, died in his residence 2004 Calumet Avenue at 7:45 o'clock last night. He was 93 years old, and up to the moment of his death enjoyed fairly good health.

Mary Louise Jewett was born in Bath, Me., 29 July 1867. She married Feb. 189 to John James Mitchell, who was born in alton, Ill., 3 Nov 1853, son of Ailliam Hamilton and Anne N. (Kelley) Mitchell. They reside in Chicago, Ill., where he is President of the Illinois Trust and Savings Bank, one of the greatest financial institutions in the country outside of New York. Mr. Mitchell is well known in the finanacial world on account of being behind so many of the large financial deals and is called by Many of the newspapers, the J. Pierpont Morgan of Chicago.

7 Dec 1920. Guy Hamilton Mitchell applied obtained a Passport - application #126826. He was born at Alton, ILL. on the 19th day of November 1869. His father was William Hamilton Mitchel, born, Wheeling, W, VA, deceased. From 1909 to 1917 he lived in Florence, Italy. His permanent residence now is Chicago, IL where he is a painter. He intends to return to the US within 2 years. He will be visiting, Japan, China, IndoChina, Java, Siam and India for recreation and study. He intends to leave from the port of San Francisco on board the "Ecuador". His last passport was dated 15 Nove 191 but was cancelled by the clerk.
He was age 51, 5'7" tall, with brown eyes and dark hair. Mark Anthony Devine personally declared he had known Guy H. Mitchell for 25 years and knew him to be a citizen of the US.
19 May 2022 - he applied for an amendment to the passport t visit Canada and the United Kingdom to meet his sister in London who is coming from Florence, Italy, to meet him there. His occupation was: Artist.
