Caleb Allen of Brookfield married Rhoda Allen, 22 May 1777, in Brookfield.
Said to have served in several campaigns in the Revolutionary War - he was a sergeant in Capt Joseph Sibley's Company, Col. Glenforth Key'e Regiment. He enlisted 8 Jul 1777; discharged 3 Jan 1778. Received a pension.
