ELLENDA BURRIS
(Ca 1820 - 14 Aug 1921)
Her parents may have been John W. Burris and Sarah Strum. They married 6 Dec 1803, Granville, NC. The name seems to be a form of Burroughs. According to a sourced family tree on Ancestry, John was in Granville NC in 1790 & 1820 - then in Jackson Co TN from 1840-1870. He is said to have been born St Mary's Co, MC ca 1784, died about 1875.
John had the following tracts of land - although he was young there is no disputing that later the Burris's did live on Blackburn Fork.
