Clara Ruddell
(1735 - 1822)
Clara was the daughter of John Ruddell. Her brother Isaac was married to Elizabeth Bowman, a granddaughter of Joist Hite. Isaac Ruddle was the man who establised Ruddle's Fort in what would be Kentucky; it was overrun in 1780 by the Indians & British. Isaac's sons Abraham & Stephen were captured and taken to the Shawnee town of Old Chillicothe where Stephen grew up with Tecumseh.
