Margaret left a brief will dated 2 Feb 1878
In the name of the Benevolent Father of All, I Margaret Dye of Boone County in the State of Indiana, do make this my last will and Testament.
First I will and bequeath in equal shares to my daughter Rachael A. and my Son Calvin F. all my personal property and real estate within or without the State of Indiana including my right title and interest in ad to the lands owned by my husband William Dye. To have and to hold as their own property Subject however to the Conditions herein after made for my dear beloved husband William Dye. Should he survive me it is my will and I hereby direct that he shall have the use, rents, issues and profits of said property hereby bequeathed, for and during his natural life.
Second. I do hereby revoke all former wills by me made. In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal This Second day of February in the year 1878.
