Zachariah Moorman

Born 2nd day, 2nd month, 1732, Quaker records.
Zachariah, settled about five miles south of Lynch's Ferry [Campbell Co VA] in 1763. In 1784, he sold to Achilles Douglass, 766 acres on Seneca Creek, part of Blair's Order, on the dividing line between Christopher Anthony and his land.
Zachariah Moorman's Will is dated 1 May 1787; probate 2 Jul 1789. He gave wife Elizabeth the plantation; minor children to be maintained. Named daughters: Anna Candler, Molly Johnson, Mildred Johnson, Rachel Moorman, Agatha Johnson, Lucy Moorman. Sons Henry, Thomas, Samuel, Zachariah. Executors: Edmond Winston, son Henry, Clark Terrell Moorman, Achilles Moorman & John Clark. Sit: John Caffery, John Clark, Edward Terrell, & William Bloxsom. Proved by John Clark & affirmation of Edward Terrell, a Quaker. Certificate to execute granted Achilles & Henry Moorman; John Clark refused to act. p.130, Campbell Co WB 1.
