Probably born Guilford County, NC - the part that became Randolph in 1779.
Mary was recieved into the Cane Creek Monthly Metting 4 Oct 1781, at the requent of her parents, p.393, Hinshaw's Encyclopedia of Quaker Genealogy, "Minutes of Cane Creek"
7 Dec 1786 - Mary had married John Adamson prior to this date because she was disowned for marrying out of unity (outsite the Quaker brotherhood). 3 Dec 1803 - she condemned her marriage and received a certificate of removal from Cane Creek MM. John Adamosn requested membership to the Lost Creek MM, 24 Dec 1803 - but Mary's certificate had been lost and she obtained another, 4 Dec 1806 and was received in good standing to the Lost Creek MM, Jefferson Co TN, 28 Nov 1807.
Newberry Monthly Meeting. 30th of the 6th Month 1821 . Mary Adamson produced a certificate for herself & her children from Lost Creek Monthly Meeting. Her sons, names are Modecai, Solomon & Seth which was read and accepted.
