Ruth's parents were Samuel and Jane (Puffer) Aldrich. Samuel was admitted freeman in Providence 6 May 1701.
On 4 Jun 1743, about eight years after the disappearance of Richard Arnold, Ruth married Thomas Man. He was probably the Thomas Man who was first married to Mary Whiting.
