This refers to the infamous Johnnie Smyth of Rome, son of Uncle John Sm y th, that Barney and Minnie came to America to see. It is reported that J o hnnie Smyth had twin siblings who died the day after their birth and t h e very next day his brother died. At the funeral, he's reported to hav e c ommented that now "all the money's mine." After years of much good l if e, Johnnie died with no heirs, but his cousin, Kate Dowling and his a t torney (her son) Jim Dowling who made his mother the Executer of the w i ll. The story is my Uncle Leo got Johnnie's car. My cousin Gerald Shan n on got his bicycle, and the Dowling's got his money, which was shared w i th his brother, Ed Smyth in Ireland, who rejoiced at the fact he got h a lf of Johnnie Smyth's money.
