Homer Bruce Spurlock
(6 Jul 1926 - 12 Nov 1983)
Homer was employed by National Tube later known as United States Steel, Cuyahoga Works, Lorain Ohio for 35 years. He was a member of Vincent United Methodist Church in Lorain, Ohio, Elyria Veterans of Foreign Wars, United Steel Workers Union Local 1104 and was a Gunners Mate in the Navy during World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. He entered the U. S. Navy on 15 August 1944 and was discharged with Honor 5 March 1946. He sailed on the USS Ostara. He received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon, and Victory Medal.
