Notes
Military
The Battle of Point Pleasant is now considered by the historians to be the first battle of the Revolutionary War. Parker participated in that battle (1773) and his name is listed on the monument. His name, along with his sons Hezekiah and Millington, is also, listed on the monument to Revolutionary War soldiers of Giles County located at Perisberg, Virginia.Endnotes
