Luke Adkins

Luke was in the Civil War fighting for the Union. His pension record states that he was five feet, six inches tall, light complected with blue eyes and dark hair. Prior to and after the war, Luke ran a blacksmith shop in the Union District of Lincoln County, West Virginia. This part of Lincoln County was in Boone County from 1847 to 1867.
