Posted at findagrave.net: Kirkpatrick Service Friday Afternoon at Hazel Dell. Mrs. Ivan Kirkpatrick passed away yesterday morning at the Marshall Browning Hospital at 3:45 a. m. where she had been a patient for about a week, having been moved from Barnes Hospital. Geneva Bennett Kirkpatrick was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. I. C. Bennett, who, with her first husband, Cecil RAY preceded her in death. She had been in ill health for several years and had been a patient in several hospitals. Death was attributed to uremic poisoning. She is survived by her husband, Ivan, four children, Pvt. Billy Kirkpatrick, with the armed forces in Germany; Mary Joan, William Thomas and Iva Jean, all at home; a step-son, Kenneth Kirkpatrick, of Sesser; and a son by her former marriage, Melvin Ray. Five brothers also survive; W. W., Evans, Raymond, and Ray, all of Benton, and Thomas of Texas. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Hazel Dell Free Will Baptist Church, Rev. Riley Burton officiating. Burial will be at Horse Prairie Cemetery. The body will remain at the Brayfield Funeral home until time for the funeral.
