Samuel M. Kirkpatrick

From the DuQuoin Tribune, April 20, 1900: Samuel M. Kirkpatrick was born Oct. 5, 1856 and died 15, 1900, at Christopher, aged 43 years. He was married to Miss Mary A. Minor, Feb. 7, 1877, to which union were born four children. He became a member of the Christian Church in his 21st year. Last Monday, Rev. W. H. Kern, of this place, preached his funeral in the Christian Church at Christopher, in the presence of a large circile of relatives and friends, after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery east of Christopher.
