Jennie Zella Kirkpatrick was the seventh child of James Dyer and Elizabeth (Vipond) Kirkpatrick. She was born 25 September 1894 in Livingston, Grant County, Wisconsin, and died 5 April 1970 in Hudson, St. Croix County, Wisconsin. She married Elmer E. Sharp, 22 February 1923 at St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota. He was born 22 September 1885, one of ten children of Henry and Frances (Delmeter) Sharp. He was educated at Roberts, Wisconsin, and also attended River Falls Teachers College. he farmed at Roberts after his marriage and all his life until about 1955 when he and his wife moved to Hudson, Wisconsin. Elmer Sharp died 17 March 1956 at Mounds Park Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota. He and his wife are buried at Willow River Cemetery, Hudson, St. Croix County, Wisconsin.

There was one child born of the marriage.
