Albuquerque Journal, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Sunday, July 14, 2002: Winifred A. Lodal, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, died July 11, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Cary H. Lodal. She is survived by her daughters Kathryn Ripperger and husband, Jack of Grand Rapids, MI and Karen Lodal of Albuquerque; son, William Lodal and wife, Shelly of Mansfield, TX; grandchildren, Lisa and Matthew Ripperger of New York, NY, Brian and Scott Lodal of Ft. Worth, TX, and Kristin Lodal of Mansfield, TX; sister, Elinor Wimberly of Austin, TX. In 1934 she graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. As a member of Central United Methodist Church she was an active participant in the women's group. Wini filled the hearts and minds of those who surrounded her with love and compassion. She will be forever cherished in the hearts of those she so dearly loved and cared for through out her joyous life. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Central United Methodist Church, 1600 Copper, NE. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to a charity of choice.
