Pleasant, died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 10 at Henry County Health Center. She was born May 11, 1887 at Mt. Pleasant to Jacob and Mariah Hedges Becker. She married Claude Miller Jan. 20, 1909 at Mt. Pleasant; he died in 1947. She was a member of the United Methodist church of New London, Rebekah lodge and Royal Neighbors of America. She attended Howe Academy, Mt. Pleasant. Surviving: Two sons, Edwin E., Creve Coeur, Ill., and Donald W., Scottsdale, Ariz.; two daughter, Mrs. Harold (Marie) Connaughton, Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Lawrence (Helen) Haffarnan, Mt. Pleasant, 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Elliott Chapel, New London, Rev. Arthur Brent; Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mt. Pleasant. A memorial has been established for the New London United Methodist church.
