The State Journal-Register, Springfield, Illinois, Tuesday, February 12, 2002: Jacksonville---Enid Jane Pegram, 90, of Jacksonville died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at her home. She was born Dec. 14, 1911, in Scott County, the daughter of Jesse Lofton and Persis Hawk Gillham. She married James C. Pegram in 1957; he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Pegram was a graduate of Roodhouse High School and Brown's Business College in Jacksonville. She was an office secretary and bookkeeper for Smirl-Gibson Contractors, Hugh Gibson Building Contractor and Crabtree-Neff Contractors from 1931-1965. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. Survivors: three cousins, Martha Jane Wills of Carbondale, George R. Smith of Bowling Green, Ohio and Howard E. Smith of Omaha, Neb. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Gillham-Buchanan Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Burial: Gillham Cemetery in Scott County.
