St., will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Plymouth Congregational Church. Rev. Paul Davis will be in charge. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Cemetery at Kansas City, Mo. Friends may call at the Cooper-Warren Mortuary tonight and Wednesday until noon.

Miss Newman, a long-time teacher at Lawrence High School, died Monday afternoon at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Miss Newman was born May 15, 1881, in Ashland, Ill., and moved to Kansas City, Mo., in 1886. She and her family moved to Kansas City, Kan., in 1887. A 1905 graduate of Kansas University, Miss Newman was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and did graduate work in mathematics at California University at Berkeley. From 1906 to 1946 she taught at Lawrence High, principally in the mathematics department.

She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, XYZ Club, American Association of University Women, West Side Study Club, Group One at Plymouth Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Survivors include a cousin, Mrs. Margaret Weber of Port Charlotte, Fla. The family prefers contributions to the KU Endowment Flower Fund.
