The Cleveland Plain Dealer, Cleveland, Ohio, November 14, 1941, Page 8: Mrs. Ella M. Painter. Word was received here yesterday of the death in Santa Monica, Cal., Tuesday, of Mrs. Ella M. Painter, 84, mother of Mrs. Eleanor Painter Strong, whose husband, Maj. Charles H. Strong, is president of Wm. Taylor Son & Co. Mrs. Painter spent much time here with her daughter. She was active for many years on the women's committee of the Cleveland Orchestra and also was active in Church of the Covenant. Besides Mrs. Strong, she is survived by two sons, Dr. Earl Painter and Robert R. Painter. Services were held yesterday in Santa Monica.
