Perry Albert Kirkpatrick was born 29 January 1907 at Dalton, Randolph County, Arkansas. He died at Pocahontas, Randolph County, Arkansas on 29 November 1972. On 1 October 1927 he married Alma Lorene Gross, daughter of Richard and Jenny (Thomas) Gross, who was born 6 November 1904. [Social Security records show Lorene A. Kirkpatrick].

Perry owned a farm near Eleven Point River, where he farmed and raised livestock. He was a member of the School Board of Eleven Point and Dalton for many years. He also served for many years as a Randolph County Justice of the Peace. In November 1960, Perry sold his farm and moved to Pocahontas. He served two terms as County Clerk, from January 1959 to December 1962.
