Maryville Daily Democrat Forum, Maryville, Missouri, Thursday, March 30, 1911, Front Page, Col. 4: Died of Cancer At Daughter's Home. Mrs. Katie Kirkpatrick of Stillwater, Okla., formerly of Maryville, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eva LaByer, of Mt. Washington, Mo., a suburb of Kansas City. Mrs. Kirkpatrick had been sick at her daughter's home for three months, the cause of her death being cancer of the face. The body was taken to Stillwater for burial by the side of her late husband, John Kirkpatrick. Mrs. Kirkpatrick came to Maryville last June on account of the death of her sister, Mrs. David Fairchild. She is survived by her brother, B. F. Bostick of South Vine street, and two children, Mrs. LaByer of Mt. Washington, Mo., and Arthur Kirkpatrick of Stillwater, Okla. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a true member of the First M. E. church and the Woman's Relief Corps of Maryville.
