Obituary from Topeka State Journal, January 19, 1928, page 3, Col. 1: Kansas Pioneer Is Dead. Mrs. Mary A. Craig Dies at Methodist Home for Aged. Mrs. Mary A. Craig, 78, a pioneer resident of Beloit, Kan., died Wednesday night at the Methodist Home for the Aged. With her husband she entered the home August 29, last year. Surviving are her husband Hugh D. Craig; one brother, W. J. B. Kirkpatrick of Falls City, Wash.; and four nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Mulvane chapel of the Methodist home. The body will be taken to Beloit for burial.
