(27 Nov 1867 - 31 Aug 1905)

Pocahontas Record Democrat, Pocahontas, Iowa, Thursday, September 14, 1905, Page 3, Col. 7: Louella (Bayley) Mundon. We are seldom called to chronicle such a sad occasion as the demise of Mrs. Louella Mundon and yet this painful duty if ours. Louella Bayley was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. K. Bayley of Grant county, Wisconsin. She was born in Grant county, Wisconsin November 21, 1867, and died near Mallard, Iowa, September 1, 1905, at the age of 37 years, 9 months and 5 days. She leaves a husband and five children, an aged mother, three sister and three brothers to mourn her untimely death. Mrs. Mundon was a loving wife, a devoted mother and friend to all who knew her. Ever ready to lend a helping hand to all who needed her assistance. The bereaved husband and family have the sympathy of the entire community in this their said affliction.
Dear wife and mother,
Thou hast left us,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant in our hearts,
That never can be filled,
O tell him not the sad story,
Too and for his young heart to bear,
Just till him his wife is an angel,
And while waiting over there,
Asks God to so guide her family,
Through this ragged world of sin
That she may lift the golden bars
And welcome them all in.
