She married second a Pace, probably John M. Pace. Joy Bean writes that Wm. H. Porter had a half brother named Absalom Pace and on the 1850 census John M Pace age 30 and wife Eliza age 20 have a 1 year old son Wm. In 1860 John has children Francis age 9 and Absolum age 6. William went to live with his grandparents when his mother died in 1854. This is from Janelle Swearingen's research.
