Wilbur Worthington Williams

Columbia Daily Tribune, Columbia, Missouri, April 17, 1974: Wilbur W. Williams, 80, of Lenoir Home, retired minister of the Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Jonesburg, died Monday at Boone County Hospital. Memorial services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow at Lenoir Chapel. Rev. Williams is survived by his wife, Florence of the home; four sons, Charles of Oxford, Ohio, Rev. Robert of Washington, Ill., Vincent of Dubuque, Iowa; one daughter, Mrs. David (Kay) Hudson of Coralville, Iowa; 18 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He was born April 28, 1893. He was married in Oct. 1916, to the former Florence L. Kirkpatrick. Rev. Williams was active in the ministry since his ordination in 1916 serving most of the time in Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. Since coming to Lenoir in 1960, he served in Jonesburg, Mo.
