Julia Ann Kirkpatrick

Julia Kirkpatrick was born 11 October 1853 in Camp Point, Adams County, Illinois. She married on 27 December 1885 in the Cadmus/Parker area in Linn County, Kansas, Judson Payne, as his third wife. Judson was from New York. He moved to Wisconsin and married there Cornelia Walton, and moved to Kansas in 1857. They had surviving twins. He was a veteran of the Civil War and then became a Methodist Minister. After his first wife died, he returned to Wisconsin and married Hannah Draper Burnap in 1867, and had four more children. After her death, he married Julia. In 1890 the family moved to Old Mexico to homestead. It was there that their youngest child was born. In 1894 they returned to Parker, Kansas. Judson died 15 June 1915 and Julia then lived with her daughter, Orpha. She died 17 December 1919.

There were three (3) children born of the marriage.
