The News Tribune, Tacoma, Washington, Sunday, June 12, 1983, Page 8, Col. 2: Herman Edward Fletcher, 59, of 5610 N. 49th, died Friday. He was born in Blythe, Ga., and moved to Tacoma in 1949. He worked as a security guard at Asarco or 34 years and belonged to the firm's 25-year club. A veteran of WWII, he served in the Army Medical Corps. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife,Florence; three sons, Michael, Robert, and John, all of Tacoma; a daughter, Kathleen; a brother Leonard M. of Augusta, Ga.; a sister, Elizabeth Duffy of Augusta, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
Gaffney, Cassidy & Allen Funeral Home is in charge.
