SUNDAY SERVICES for FRED LEFLER
Funeral services for Fred Lefler, 77, of Sesser will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Brayfield Funeral Home, Sesser, with the Rev. John Plunkett officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Sesser. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Lefler, a retired coal miner, died Thursday afternoon after a lengthy illness. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Sesser. He was born Sept. 14, 1894, in Franklin County, the son of Thomas and Ann Cordell Lefler. Survivors include his wife, the former Jessie Carter; six daughters, Mrs. Glenda Pavlotich of Sesser, Iva Woods of Benton, Mrs. Eva Fox of El Cajon, Calif., Mrs. Irene Leonard of Buckner, Mrs. Virginia Dame of Chicago and Mrs. Cleta Kupfner of Mantino; two sons, Jewel of El Paso, Tex., and Walter of Chicago; three stepsons, Vincent Hofsteter of Elcott City, Mo., Robert Hofsteter of Benton and Carl Hofsteter of Nashville; and 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Note: Iva Woods is a sister of Fred Lefler, not a daughter.
