Noble John Pippin III

(1 Nov 1948 - 26 Jun 2018)

Posted at findagrave.com: Noble John Pippin III, age 69, died Tuesday, June 26th at the VA Memorial Hospital in Little Rock. He was born on November 1, 1948, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Noble John Pippin, Jr. and Peggy Ann Porter Pippin.

He is survived by his daughter, Faith Danielle Pippin (Jason Bumiller) of Washington, D.C.; grandsons Gabriel Noble Donald Bumiller and Owen Jason Bumiller; and a brother, Thomas Wayne Pippin (Doris) of Kansas City, Kansas.

He was a proud member of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Crete and Japan. While in Crete he fell in love with the beaches and the food, and frequently drove the nearby coastline during his off-duty time. While in Japan he became a second degree brown belt in judo, and also studied other martial arts. He was an avid reader and World War II buff. He was articulate, possessing a love of words and a good turn of phrase; he often sounded like an Oxford English dictionary spoken with an Arkansas twang. Always quick to laugh, he had an ever present and irreverent sense of humor, coupled with a booming laugh. He was a devoted dad and a loving Paw Paw, and his greatest pride and joy were his daughter, son-in-law, and his two grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 West 12th Street in Little Rock. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock.
