Burkburnett Informer Star, Burkburnett, Texas, Thursday, December 22, 2005, Page 2, Cols. 1 & 2: Marvin E. Taliaferro, 77, of Burkburnett, Texas died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Services were held Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at Owens & Brumley Chapel in Burkburnett. Bud Branson of Central Church of Christ and Rev. Judy Brock of First Christian Church of Burkburnett officiated. Interment was at the Burkburnett Cemetery under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett. Mr. Taliaferro was born Nov. 9, 1928 in Lawton, Okla. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952. A resident of Burkburnett since 1961, he attended First Christian Church, and was former president and member of the Burkburnett Rotary Club. He had been employed by Wackers, and then retired as Production Manager of Cryo Vac. He married Edna Brierton on Oct. 26, 1991. Survivors include his wife, Edna Taliaferro of Burkburnett; brother Wayne Taliaferro of Conroe, Texas; ste-son, Jack Brierton of Trophy Club, Texas; step-daughters, Ann Brierton McCuen of Garland, Texas, Susan Shivers of Memphis, Tenn., Janna Thompson of Edmond, Okla., and Abi Gail Baltz of Pocahontas, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
