| LifeSketch | Birth: Feb. 22, 1932 Death: Nov. 21, 2014 Betty Jo (Johnson) Jain, 82, of Norman passed away on Friday, November 21, 2014. She was born February 22, 1932 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Ernest C. and Elizabeth (Neel) Johnson. She graduated from Fletcher High School in 1950 and earned a Bachelor\u2019s Degree from Oklahoma City University in 1954. She met Gilbert Jain at the First United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City, and they were married on June 22, 1954. They celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. In 1969 she completed a Master\u2019s Degree in Library Science from the University of Oklahoma. Following graduation she began her 22 year career at the Moore Public Library where she was promoted to Head Librarian. She retired in 1991. Betty was an avid reader, loved to play games, and rooted for OU football and Thunder basketball. Most precious of all was the time she spent with her family, especially her granddaughters.
