Daily Capital News, Jefferson City, Missouri, Wednesday, June 25 1969, Page 10, Col. 3: Mrs. Carter dies at local hospital. Mrs. Beulah M. Carter, 68, of 1102 Missouri Blvd., died Tuesday at a Jefferson City hospital. Mrs. Carter was born April 1, 1901, at Ashland, the daughter of Dexter and May Jane Zumwalt Todd. She was married to the late William Carter, Nov. 8, 1928. Survivors include: Three daughters, Mrs. Mary Norman, Kansas City, Mrs. Helen Starkey, Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs Alta Forrest Atlanta, Ga.; one son, Paul Curtis Roark, Kansas City; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard Brandt, Jefferson City, and Mrs. Joe Smith, Belle, and one brother, James Todd of Manchester. Mrs. Carter was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Freeman Funeral Home in Jefferson City with the Rev. Arnold Bickel officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Boone County.
