Benton Harbor News Palladium, Benton Harbor, Michigan, Monday, November 1, 1971, Page 18: Victor Lee Collis,67, of 847 Broadway street, Benton Harbor, died at 12:02 a.m. today in St. Joseph Memorial hospital. Mr. Collis had been ill since August and most recently hospitalized.
He was born March 2, 1904k ih Benton Harbor, the son of Roland and Ruby Collis. Before his retirement, he had been employed with his father, in the R. B. Collis Farm Implement Company.
Surviving are a son, Richard of St. Joseph; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Mary Lou) Harrison of Sister Lakes; a two brothers, Bruce of Benton Harbor and Robert of Pahokee, Fla., and seven grandchildren. A brother Dan preceded him in death.
Mr. Collis was a veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Wednesday in the Florin funeral home. Dr. Carlos C. Page, pastor of the Peace Temple United Methodist church, will officiate. burial will be in Penn Yan cemetery, Bainbridge township. Friends may call at the funeral home.
