The Kansas City Star, Kansas City, Missouri, Sunday, December 29, 1991: Wilbur E. Adams, 78, Prairie Village, died Dec. 27, 1991, in the Life Care Center of Overland Park, 7541 Switzer St. He was born in Leavenworth and lived in Kansas City before moving to Prairie Village 40 years ago. Mr. Adams was an inspector for the Kansas City Water Department. Later he worked for Benson Manufacturing Co. for 30 years before he retired as a plant foreman. He was a member and past master of the Old Mission Masonic Lodge, former chairman of its Sick and Distress Committee and a teacher of its coaching classes of degree work. He was a member of the Johnson County Masters Club and past president of the Shawnee Mission High Twelve Club. He was a member the Scottish Rite bodies in Kansas City, Kan., and their Good Cheer Committee, and received its Knights Commander Court of Honor in 1975. He was a past patron of the Meera chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Past Matrons and Patrons Club of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and its Keen-Agers group. Survivors include his wife, Lillian M. Adams of the home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Mon day at the Mount Moriah & Freeman Chapel, where Masonic services will be at 7 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the church or the Old Mission Masonic Lodge.
