Roberta Fay Williams, departed this life on March 10, 2012, at the age of 90, leaving behind family and friends and joining her husband, family members, and friends in heaven. Roberta was married to her husband Clarence "Bud" Williams until his death on March 14, 1981. During Bud's lifetime, he and Roberta lived in Kansas City for years where Roberta stayed home to raise their five children. After their children were grown, Bud and Roberta moved to Freeman, MO, where they lived until Bud's death. After Bud's death, Roberta moved to Garden City, MO where she was active as a helper a Training Center Christian School and in the Jolly 60's program at New Covenant Fellowship. Preceding Roberta in death was her husband, Clarence "Bud" Williams, an adult son, Corky, an adopted son, Melvin Newton, a daughter-in-law Nancy, and an infant son, a sister, Gladys Phillips; and twin brothers, Kenneth and Kennerd Wilson. Surviving are her three sons, Buddy, Linn Valley, KS; Donald and wife Diana, Olathe, KS; and Richard and wife, Judy, Garden City, MO; a daughter, Carol, Garden City, MO; two daughter- in-laws, Bonnie Sellers, Martin City, MO; and Beverly Newton, Raymore, MO; 18 grandchildren, and several great and great-great grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends. Roberta looked forward to meeting her Savior and seeing her boys and husband whom she dearly missed. Services for Roberta will be held at New Covenant Fellowship in Garden City, MO on Wednesday, March 14 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm with her son, Reverend Richard Williams officiating the service. Burial Memorial Park Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Casket bearers are Buddy Williams, Michael Williams, Tommy Williams, Donald Williams, Travis Williams, and Russell Hatfield. The family suggests that memorial contributions can be made in Roberta's honor to New Covenant Fellowship in Garden City, MO. (Arrangements: Park Lawn Funeral Home 816-523-1234).
