Waukesha Freeman, Waukesha, Wisconsin, Saturday, July 7, 2001: Frederick Grant of Waukesha died Thursday, July 5, 2001 at Linden grove Health Care Center. He was born in the town of Vernon on Sept. 14, 1910 to Albert and Emma (Ross) Grant. He married Dolores (nee Horn) Grant on June 1, 1940. She preceded him in death in 1998, after 58 years of marriage. The couple were godparents to many who will remember him fondly.

Mr. Grant had worked at Waukesha Foundry for 47 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Golden Agers of and AARP. He loved to bowl and work in his yard. He is survived by his special nephew, Frank (Anna Mae) Badciong of Wales; nieces Betty (Everett) Green of Waukesha and Joanne (Fred) Raumann of Adams; nephew Laurel (Peg) Grant of East Troy, many other nieces and nephews, other relatives and a multitude of friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his godson David Ferks; brothers Halsie, Bill, Henry and John Grant; sisters Angeline Hunkins, Lottie Smith, Hazel Badciong, Isabelle Smith, Lillian Grant and Florence Baxter.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 8, 2001, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., and Monday, June 9, 2001, at Grace Ev. Lutheran Church, 700 Beechwood Ave. in Waukesha from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service. The Rev. Glen Schaumburg will be officiating. Burial will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery. Memorials to Grace Lutheran Church are appreciated.Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 547-4035, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
