(Elsie) Sibbel, 64, of Manning died at 2:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at St. Anthony Hospital, Carroll.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Zion Lutheran Church here, with burial in the Manning Cemetery. The Rev. G. C. Hattendorf, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. Friends may call at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Mrs. Sibbel was born Sept. 7, 1900, in Washington Township, Carroll County, a daughter of August and Emma Kusel Hansen. She attended Manning schools and on Dec. 30, 1924, married Mr. Sibbel at Council Bluffs. They farmed near Manning until moving into in 1943. Surviving are her husband; one son, William E. Sibbel, Manning; three granddaughters; two sisters, Mrs. Glen (Ida) Noe, Waterloo, and Mrs. Alma Greteman, Arcadia; and one brother, Verdis Hansen, Carroll. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth.
