Osage County Chronicle, Osage, Kansas, Dec 19, 2002: Graveside services will be at 10 am Friday at Osage City Cemetery for Norman C Wright, 86, Osage City, who died Saturday, Dec 14, 2002, at a Topeka hospital. He was born Sept 26, 1916, in Savannah, Mo., to Robert and Mannie May Kirkpatrick Wright. He lived in Topeka for 15 years before he moved to Osage City in 1969. He was a batch plant foreman in highway construction for Koss Construction Co. before he retired. He had served in the Army. He was a member of Robert Heizer Post No 198 of the American Legion in Osage City, Veterans of Foreign Wars in Scranton and Disabled American Veterans. He married Mabel L Hall Snider, in 1956, in Atchison. She died Sept 26, 1997. Survivors include two sons, Norman D Wright, Leavenworth and James Wright, Baldwin City; two daughters, Jeanie Wright, Oskaloosa and Wanda Freeman, Streamwood, Ill.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Crable Funeral Chapel in Osage City is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be made to the Norman C Wright Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date and sent in care of the funeral home.
