The Wichita Eagle, Wichita, Kansas, Sunday, July 1, 2007: Spencer, Onalee C. (Kirkpatrick), 100, homemaker wife, and mother, died peacefully Wednesday, June 27, 2007. She joined the Catholic Church in March 1942 and was a daily communicant for the rest of her life. She lived the Catholic Faith fully through good days and bad. She bore many crosses courageously with her engaging smile. Today she is either or soon will be in a "far, far better place than she has ever been." She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Jack Spencer; brothers, Percy and Bob Kirkpatrick; sister, Clover Kyte; and grandson John Timothy Spencer. She is survived by her sister, Lois West; her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Theresa Spencer; 5 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass will be Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. in the Catholic Care Center Chapel, with rosary immediately before Mass. "Neque hic viva neque illic mortua."
